Hello and welcome to Aldergrove Cottage!
Although we often spoke about this and joked about embarking on this adventure…never did we actually think it would become a reality! Until recently Aldergrove cottage was our family home- we are Mark and Laura and our children: Hannah Rose, James and Daisy!
In light of everything that has happened over the last few months we made the decision to move in with our extended family…we actually now live only a few hundred metres up the road! We haven’t gone far!
Aldergrove Cottage is my family home and it has been and will continue to be an amazing little piece of the world that seems to get better every year! My parents built this house and spent many years chopping and changing various elements, embarking on horticultural experiments in the gardens and most importantly building an amazing oasis for our family!
Fast forward…a few years (lets not count them) and I now have my own family and have spent the last few years living here! We have both had several years of experience in the hospitality industry – some of us more than others (rolls eyes) and we have always fancied having our own place to welcome and entertain guests!
Being a young family of 5 we understand how hard it can be to relax and unwind in a ‘hotel’ style setting and how you often spend the nights pacing the floors or shouting in whispers for everyone to be quiet! This will simply not happen here! Aldergrove cottage should provide you with the space and the privacy you need to enjoy some much needed time with loved ones or friends!
With everything that is happening in the world at the present time we appreciate and value our customers for supporting local businesses and choosing to stay with us. Our promise to you is that we will strive to make your stay as safe and as relaxing as it can be!
Our self-titled ‘hotel manager’ (our daughter Hannah Rose ) would like everyone to know that we are always available to help make your stay that extra bit special no matter the occasion so please do get in touch- no baby shower or engagement is to much trouble!!
